Weyside Close
Valuation – Weyside Close, Alton, Hampshire
The Valuation of commercial property can raise particular challenges, especially when presented with an unusual property to value, as I have, such as a large hotel, nightclub, development ransom strip or even a Zoo!
Those valuations might be required for a wide variety of reasons including mortgages, raising finance, taxation, matrimonial issues or estate planning. One of the most common reasons to value an asset arises because many people hold commercial property in a SIPP or other pension structure.
Self Invested Pensions are usually administered by pension providers who require formal valuations of the property at regular intervals and that’s where we come in.
Acting on behalf of pension provider Curtis Banks, we were recently instructed to prepare a valuation report on an industrial unit at Weyside Close, in Alton, Hampshire. Pension providers have specific requirements to satisfy corporate governance and we can provide bespoke valuations to answer those questions all within the crucial standards set out by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Written Valuations are prepared in full compliance with the ‘Red Book’ – the industry gold standard, accepted by all major UK institutions.
We inspected and measured the property, carrying out research to establish market value within the specific parameters of the instruction.
A full written report in duplicate, with PDF copy ensures the client has a digital and hard copy as needed, depending on the clients wishes.
A properly researched and presented report allowed for smooth administration of this aspect of the clients pension scheme. Job done!
